Inventec Appliances is a subsidiary founded by Inventec Group in 2000. Based on existing core technologies such as platform integration and cloud applications, it provides customers with new product development, design and manufacturing services; in capital As the communications (ICT) industry enters the global trend of medical care, Inventec Appliances is also not absent. It is committed to developing medical-grade equipment products and connecting them with the medical Internet of Things (AIoT), hoping to improve medical efficiency and lead a healthy life. At this year's Taiwan International Medical Care Exhibition, Inventec Appliances also appeared with its own brand Chiline, and worked hand in hand with Xinsheng Health Management and Good Future to exhibit three main products and services: "Family Pal" smart health housekeeper, "TTSmart" infusion system, and "Chiline CATCH" circulating tumor cells (CTCs) automated testing services. On the first (8th) day of the event, it attracted the interest of many domestic and foreign exhibitors.
Comprehensive physiological measurement system to realize cloud health management
Zeng Qing'an, head of the medical business of Inventec GroupInventec Appliances, explained that "Family Pal" is a comprehensive physiological measurement system connected through the App. It integrates five physiological measurements of blood pressure, blood sugar, total cholesterol, uric acid and electrocardiogram to protect the health of your family in an all-round way. Currently, it includes: electrocardiograph, blood sugar/total cholesterol/uric acid monitoring system, blood oxygen/respiratory monitoring system, electronic sphygmomanometer, etc., all of which have obtained medical material licenses from the Food and Drug Administration of the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Other project products, such as continuous smart thermometers with Bluetooth/WiFi connection transmission functions, blood oxygen monitoring systems, etc., have also successively obtained certification and been launched on the market, expanding physiological monitoring to various fields. Zeng Qingan said that Inventec Appliances has successfully expanded the scope of Family Pal to the entire Taiwan through its extensive partner network. As for the App, Family Pal has more than 200,000 registered member accounts, and has cooperated with more than 20 hospitals, including National Taiwan University Hospital, Mackay Hospital, Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Peking University Medical University, National Higher Education Medical University, Hualien Tzu Chi and other large hospitals, as well as more than 10 regional hospitals, and cooperates with more than 1,000 public (academic) associations, health centers, and clinics. In addition, Family Pal has also attracted five county and city governments to cooperate with it, including Miaoli County Social Affairs Department/Weigong Hospital, Tainan City Health Bureau, Yunlin County Health Bureau, Kinmen County Health Bureau, Taoyuan City Social Affairs Bureau; other types of partners include sunshine/long-term care centers, home care, insurance industry, academic research institutions, pharmacies, transportation industry, real estate industry, etc. In this year's exhibition, Inventec Appliances also focused on the urinary health problems of middle-aged and elderly men and exhibited the latest uroflowmeter. This product uses gravity sensing technology to measure the user's urine volume, flow rate, time, etc., and provides a reference for urologists' diagnosis. In early June this year, Inventec Appliances was also invited by the Peking University Affiliated Hospital's Rural Medical Group to travel to Shiding District, New Taipei City, to provide more complete detection of urinary problems for people in rural areas.
Taiwan's first smart infusion system to ensure patient safety
Zeng Qing'an introduced that the second key product on display this time is Taiwan's first "TTSmart infusion system", which includes an infusion pump, infusion connection system software, pump infusion set, etc., focusing on the high-risk infusion needs in the medical care field, and at the same time using a complete monitoring system to ensure the safety of patients' medical treatment. He said that the TTSmart infusion system can accurately control the infusion flow rate, with an error value of ±10% in the range of 0.1-0.9 ml/h; and an error value of ±5% in the range of 1-1000 ml/h. It can meet the infusion needs that require high precision, such as chemotherapy administration for cancer patients; drug administration records will also be automatically written into the hospital system, eliminating the need for manual transcription by medical staff. In addition, by connecting with the medical information system (HIS), this product can automatically compare doctor's order information, drug information, patient information, and pharmacopoeia database information to avoid human input errors and improve infusion safety. Information such as infusion status and alarms will also be automatically linked to the nursing station to facilitate real-time monitoring and emergency treatment by medical staff. Zeng Qing'an said that since the relevant information of the infusion process will be stored in real time, including the initial settings, who unlocked and modified it during the process, events (alarms) that have occurred, etc., will be completely recorded, so if a medical dispute occurs, it will be able to help trace the situation at that time.
CTC detection helps early detection of cancer, cross-industry cooperation jointly launches spillover insurance policies
In addition to medical care, Inventec Appliances cooperates with its subsidiary Good Future to step into precision medicine and launch the "Chiline CATCH" CTCcirculating tumor cells automatic detection service, which can be used in early cancer screening, treatment process tracking, tumor medication guidance, postoperative recurrence monitoring, etc. Zeng Qing'an said that this service only requires 2 mL of venous blood to detect more than 10 types of cancer, and because CTC can detect tumors six months earlier than traditional imaging, with a sensitivity of 90% and a specificity of 94%, it has an advantage in detection rate and can be used as an auxiliary tool for recurrence monitoring and treatment effect evaluation of cancer patients. In addition, Zeng Qing'an also emphasized that the negative screening and separation technology used by Chiline CATCH can more completely retain CTCs in blood for analysis than the positive screening and separation technology used by mainstream biotechnology manufacturers on the market. In addition, Chiline CATCH also has the advantages of no manual intervention in specimen pre-processing, fully automated processes, and the ability to connect to data systems and customized report formats according to hospital user needs, making it more convenient in practical operations. At present, Chiline CATCH's business model development, in addition to cooperation with medical institutions, can also be extended to high-end health examination services, and even cross-industry cooperation with insurance companies. For example, in January and March this year, Inventec Appliances successively announced the launch of spillover insurance policies with Global Life and Nanshan Life, hoping to allow policyholders to understand their own cancer risks in advance. Zeng Qing'an said that when Inventec Appliances was founded, it hoped to become the best partner in the research and development and manufacturing of smart handheld devices and cloud terminals through continuous innovation. After entering the medical care field, it also hopes to accelerate the layout of medical care products and go global through the sales base and cross-industry cooperation network established in Taiwan, coupled with the existing advantages of Inventec Group.
